Grain Alliance completed the harvest of sunflower seeds and sown winter crops

The Grain Alliance (Baryshivska Grain Company) continues harvesting late crops, collect soy and corn. Sunflower harvesting has already been completed in all regions of the company. The culture was sown in four regions of Ukraine – Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Cherkasy. More than 40 thousand tons was collected from the fields. All grain was accepted for storage to the elevators of Baryshivska Grain Company.

– We are satisfied with the results of the sunflower harvest. All harvest were finished in time, without delays.

In comparison with last year, we have more agricultural crops. Average productivity is more than 30 metric centners/ha.

Northern Poltava region, which collected 32 centners/ ha, can be proud of the best result.

Other areas also showed good results. Our thanks to each employee, who participated in sunflower harvesting and maintenance of the harvesting company. These are combine operator, agronomists, engineers, drivers, elevators employees and other workers” – said Andrei Lukyanenko, Operations Director of Baryshivska Grain Company.

Soy beans – is one of the main crop in Baryshivska Grain Company. That’s why, each employee gives more attention to this process. The harvest of soy is going towards the end. As of today more than 90 % of the areas has been gathered.

– This year we have good results of soybean’s yield. The average yield is 30 centners/ha. But we even have regions with the higher rates. Such result is facilitated by the sunny and dry weather. So, we plan to finish gathering of soy beans by the end of the week.” – said Grain Alliance’s Operations Director.

Also we started to harvest corn, and for today more than 20 % of areas have been processed.

Corn is being collected in North Poltava region, Cherkassy and Chernihiv regions. In the nearest future we will start harvest in the Kyiv region. According to forecasts, the average yield will be more than 100 centners/ha, – said Andriy Lukyanenko.

Grain Alliance has completed the winter wheat harvest on the planned areas. The company hopes for a comfortable weather during the autumn and winter.

Good pre-planting preparation of soil, timely provision of the necessary means of production and well-organized fieldwork set a good basis for the future harvests.
