Learning from the experience of colleagues from Odesa and Mykolayiv regions
From the 19th to 22nd of June, representatives of the elevators of Grain Alliance visited 6 terminal port elevators of leading Ukrainian companies. The guests were hosted by “Nika Tera” and the sea terminal of “NIBULON” in Mykolayiv, “Risoyl” and “Eco-resource-holding” Company” in Chernomorsk, the terminals of MV Cargo in Yuzhnyi and “Brooklyn-Kiev” in Odessa. Baryshivska Grain Company cooperates with most operators on a permanent basis. Possible cooperation was discussed with the remaining terminals.
The main goal of the excursions of the partners’ facilities was to get acquainted with the modern production and research base, the study of the mechanisms of grain shipment in the chain of “producer-trader-port-buyer”. Particular attention was also paid to the topic of cooperation between Baryshivska grain company’s elevators laboratories and partner companies’ on the quality of the grain being shipped.
– Learning partners’ experience is always useful. It is interesting, for example, to discuss the methods by which the colleagues from southern regions of Ukraine reach a few turns of grain per month at their capacities. It is clear that their specifics of work differ from ours. But nevertheless some nuances were useful to us, especially on the eve of the new season of elevator work, -” said Tahir Musayev, the Chief Commercial Officer of the Grain Alliance.
